Bundesliga runner-up Borussia Dortmund has signed two new sponsorship deals. This brings BVB additional income.

BVB is expanding its cooperation with the Sauerland company OBO Bettermann. The contract with the manufacturer for electrical installation technology was not only extended until 2030. At the same time, the company was promoted to the premium partner category.

The new deal is paying off financially for Borussia Dortmund, as the “Ruhr Nachrichten” reports. Accordingly, the Revierklub will in future collect almost two million euros per year for the sponsorship package.

OBO Bettermann has been a partner at BVB for years, for example in perimeter advertising. From now on, the company will also advertise around the Bundesliga table tennis team. The partner’s products will be used in the stadium and in future BVB construction projects.

“OBO Bettermann and Borussia Dortmund have shared common values such as down-to-earthness, reliability and regional commitment for a quarter of a century. The fact that we are now extending this partnership early until 2030 and taking it to a new level together makes us very proud,” Managing Director Carsten Cramer is quoted as saying in a statement.

BVB concludes another deal

BVB also announced on Wednesday that it had landed another partner, Elanco Animal Health. The “AdTab” brand becomes Borussia’s official premium partner.

“We are very pleased about the partnership with Borussia Dortmund,” the company is quoted in a BVB statement: “From now on, together we will ensure an unbeatable defense – the BVB professionals on the pitch and AdTab in reliably protecting dogs and cats from fleas and ticks. We are proud of this important step and look forward to a successful cooperation in the spirit of sport and animal health.”
