Jukka Hildén responds to Iltalehti’s criticism.

Jukka Hildén got a new dog. Inka Soveri

Jukka Hildén, known from Duudsons, and his wife, dancer and artist Chachi Hildén, have acquired a dog. Both Chachi and Jukka have shared pictures of the dog on their Instagram accounts.

– The new boss Sparkles Churro Hildén has arrived on the throne and to chew all the shoes that hurt the eyes. Welcome to Hilden Circus! Jukka writes in his Instagram post.

The dog acquired by the Hildéns is a pomsky, i.e. a cross between a Pomeranian and a Siberian husky, and it is not classified as an official dog breed.

The dog named Sparkles gets a lot of adoring reactions in Juka and Chachi’s comment fields, but not everyone is equally pleased.

– Pomsky isn’t even a breed, and you can’t even breed them ethically, and how did I think about crossing two breeds of such different sizes ethically

– It’s really irresponsible to get such a mixed-breed pooch and still advertise it as somehow a good alternative. You would think that you could afford to find out a little more about things, but clearly even these are just some cuteness ahead, one commented.

– It would also be good to tell how much of this crossbreeding is done in puppy mills when you go to advertise to a large audience, states the third.

Kennelliitto comments to Iltalehte about pomskys on a general level.

– Pomsky is not a breed approved by the Finnish Kennel Club, so we do not have more detailed information about it. It is the so-called rotumix. The combination includes a working dog (Siberian Husky) and a miniature dog (Pomeranian), the Kennel Club’s communication can be commented on by email to Iltalehti.

– In general, we can say that when getting a dog, you should pay as much attention as possible to the dog’s background – what its mother and father and other relatives are like, how much information is available about their health and character, and how much information is available about what kind of characteristics they have inherited.

Jukka Hildén comments

Iltalehti caught up with Jukka Hildén to comment on the discussion generated by the dog purchase.

Jukka says that he has checked that both parents’ health papers and bone X-rays are in order, and that the puppy has had a health check.

Pomskys are already familiar to the Hildéne family. The Bandit dogs that died last summer and were acquired as therapy dogs were pomskys, as was the now eight-year-old Rex dog.

– I have made a well thought out decision and got a familiar and safe dog breed for our family, recommended by the therapist, of which we have already had two before, says Jukka.

– As a father, it’s important to me that when I get a dog, I know what I’m getting and that I get it under good conditions, he continues.

Jukka is surprised by the comments the family receives.

– The fact that they are attacking me and my family is incomprehensible in my opinion, he states and says that the puppy is healthy and happy.
