A woman was the victim of a violent theft in her home in Antwerpsestraat in Bergen op Zoom on Monday evening. The police arrested a suspect within 15 minutes.
Initially, the police received a report about a home robbery at eight o’clock. Agents quickly arrived at the house in Antwerpsestraat. An initial statement from the victim revealed that the woman had been knocked to the ground by a man in her home.
Partly because of the woman’s testimony, the police managed to arrest a suspect within fifteen minutes. It concerns a 31-year-old man from Etten-Leur. He was arrested on the A58 near Zegge.
Further investigation by the police shows that it was not a robbery but probably a theft involving violence. Police believe it may be related to a business conflict.
