Nils Torbrügge becomes the new managing director of the handball Bundesliga club GWD Minden. The 29-year-old will return to the traditional East Westphalian club on July 1 in a managerial capacity. The club announced this on Monday.
“With my knowledge from the sporting and current professional activity, it is important from summer to build on the existing potential,” emphasizes the future GWD managing director.
Between 2008 and 2016, Torbrügge went in search of goals for the green-whites themselves. Even then he was working on his second professional mainstay and was involved in projects in the GWD office. Currently, the circle player not only wears the jersey at the second division team HSG Nordhorn-Lingen, but is also available to the club as an assistant to the management.
