Werder Bremen signs their first new signing. A 19-year-old Frenchman is supposed to strengthen the attack, but he has been unlucky twice this season.
The Bundesliga club Werder Bremen has presented its first new signing for the coming season. 19-year-old Frenchman Kenny Quetant is moving to Weser from Ligue 1 club AC Le Havre on a free transfer. With this, the club wants to solve one of its biggest problems: the lack of penetration on offense.
Quetant made his debut in Ligue 1 in December 2025 and has made ten appearances in the professional team so far. Werder coach Daniel Thioune said about the new signing: “Kenny is a well-trained, technically skilled striker who has good pace. He has an exciting profile that will expand our attacking options in the medium term.”
The Bremen storm is the big problem area this season. Victor Boniface never made an impact in sports, Keke Topp suffered a torn cruciate ligament. Quetant wants to recommend itself as an alternative from the summer. The striker said: “Werder is a very interesting club and I’m looking forward to my time in Bremen. I’m also looking forward to the Weserstadion because I’ve heard that the crowds will be incredible.”
