Errä is a well-built food, a high-quality, easy-to-take selection and a smooth transaction at the forefront, says the release.

In the future, R-kioski Oy will also operate in Finland under the name Reitan Convenience Finland.

The launch is part of R-kiosk’s broader strategy, in which the chain’s operating models, commercial activities and customer experience have been renewed to better reflect the changing behavior of consumers.

According to its release, Uusi Ärrä meets the needs of the mobile city dweller in particular with fast service and a wide, healthy selection of food and drinks.

– We want to meet the changing needs of our customers even better. The popularity of take away is growing rapidly and the demand is increasingly directed towards fast, healthy and high-quality alternatives, says the CEO of R-kioski Oy Niklas Lilius.

This is changing

The first Ärrä of the new concept will open in June 2026 in Helsingin Sanomatalo. It will initially function as a pilot store for the concept, on the basis of which feedback from customers and personnel will be collected and the concept will be further developed based on practical observations before wider implementation. Ärrä will open more widely in the fall and in the coming years. In addition, the company is preparing the launch of a new cafe concept in Finland during the end of 2026.

Along with the new Ärrä concept, the familiar R-kiosks will continue to be reliable and everyday kiosks with versatile services all over Finland, the release states.

In connection with the publication of the Ärrä concept, R-kioski Oy changes its name to Reitan Convenience Finland.

In the future, the familiar R-kioski, the new Ärrä and a new, as yet unpublished cafe concept will operate under it as their own separate brands. The change reflects the shift towards a multi-brand model, where different concepts respond to different customer needs.

– There are enormous opportunities for growth in Finland, when consumers’ needs are listened to with a sensitive ear. With Errä, we are building a new era of Finnish kiosk culture and at the same time preserving our strong R-kioski roots, Lilius says in the press release.
