Patty Brard strongly suspects that the dirt which is currently being distributed to Renze Klamer comes from the camp of Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan. “Kindergarten!”
It rarely happens that TV stars lash out so openly at a direct colleague as Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan have done in recent weeks. They are furious that their program RTL Tonight is being taken off the air and are targeting their former colleague Renze Klamer, who may take over after the summer.
For the bus
Now that Beau and Humberto have been more or less reprimanded by RTL, anonymous sources suddenly emerge through Johan Derksen who are agitating against Renze. That is ironic, because Johan is the man who always says he hates people who do not go public with their names.
Anyway: according to Johan’s sources, Renze behaves behind the scenes like a kind of Matthijs van Nieuwkerk. “Who benefits from throwing Renze under the bus so badly at this moment?” asks Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden at the desk of Show news.
Kindergarten
Patty Brard thinks it’s unprecedented. “I think it’s becoming a bit like kindergarten, like: if you don’t play with me anymore, I won’t play with you anymore and then I’m going to call so-and-so and then I’m going to say about you that you are very annoying behind the scenes. Actually, it can only come from one side, of course.”
Jordi: “And you think the side of Humberto and Beau?”
Patty: “Well, that’s what it looks like.”
‘How old are you?’
Patty points out that Beau and Humberto are now 55 and 60 years old. “Then I also think: gosh, guys, it’s the same thing we always say about social media arguments: how old are you all? Then sit down together. You know it better than anyone: if there is a dispute at De Toppers, you will sit down at the table, right? Not through the media.”
Studio guest René Froger said: “I don’t think fighting these kinds of things in the media is actually a good thing.”
Calling around
Shownieuws presenter Eva Vloon makes a reservation. “Anyway, we don’t know if Beau and Humberto are behind it. You tried to find out, but we don’t know.”
Jordi: “If you call around around and within the editors of the program today, these are not people who want to respond on camera. They are thinking about their jobs, but I hear that people were really shocked when Johan Derksen shouted that.”
Bart: “And don’t recognize themselves in those stories.”
Jordi: “So that.”
Nice guy
Significant, says Patty. “Everyone says that Renze is just a very nice guy.”
Jordi: “The picture that is now being sketched by Johan is not what I hear today from sources closer to that editorial team.”
René: “I have experienced him many times and have been to that show a lot. And I think he is always extremely correct.”
Bart concludes: “Something has to be done, because the mood-mongering around Renze Klamer is doing something to his image.”
