The scene would have been related to the allegations made about Jackson, according to which the singer had sexually abused the then 13-year-old Jordan Chandler. Jackson settled the matter with money.
In the Jackson movie that has now appeared on the big screen, references to the public accusations are conspicuous by their absence. According to Variety, the scene was thrown in the trash for legal reasons, because in connection with the compensation paid to Chandler, it was agreed that Chandler’s story should not be used in movies about Jackson.
Instead, the Michael movie is filled with the incense of Jackson’s career. Music is a big part, and no wonder. After all, the title of the king of pop has remained with Jackson despite the negative publicity.
