Rosa Kettumäki moves from A-studio to new duties.

Rosa Kettumäki has hosted A-studio since last fall. Over

Over announced earlier that journalist Rosa Kettumäki is moving to new duties at Yle.

Kettumäki, who currently hosts A-studio, will start as a US correspondent in Washington in September. Along with Kettumäki, journalist Ilmari Reunamäki will continue as US correspondent.

Kettumäki is now commenting on his new laundry in his Instagram post.

– The assignment is the fulfillment of many professional dreams for me, Kettumäki writes.

Kettumäki also states that it is great that he gets to collaborate with Reunamäki.

– The fact that Yle opened a second correspondent in Washington came as a surprise to me. The opportunity to work in this particular company just over a year after I graduated with a master’s degree in data journalism from Columbia University seemed like an opportunity that could not be passed up, Kettumäki writes.

Kettumäki writes in his publication that his season as a correspondent begins when the mid-term election campaigning is at its hottest. He states that before the end of the season, it will be known who will lead the country after Donald Trump’s second presidential term.

– I get to do journalism from the United States during a really special period for the Finnish public, Kettumäki writes.

In his publication, Kettumäki also talks about his current job as host of A-studio.

– At the same time, I also want to say that I really love my current job as the host of A-studio. You never know what will happen in the future, but right now I myself hope that when my season in the United States ends, I will be able to return to Helsinki to do live broadcasts. Whether it goes like this in life, or whether something else happens, is of course not completely under my control, Kettumäki states.

Kettumäki’s publication has a picture of him in front of the US Congress building.

– When that photo was taken last summer in front of the Capitol, it never occurred to me that just over a year later I would be moving to the city. But as they say, you never know what will happen in life, Kettumäki concludes.

Kettumäki started as a host of A-studio last fall. Before his start at A-studio, Kettumäki was on a one-year study leave and studied master’s studies in data journalism at Columbia University in New York.

Kettumäki worked at A-studio even before he became the host of the program. He has done the program’s background work, scripts and videos shown in the program.

In the past, Kettumäki has appeared in shows, among other things Ultimate, Friday, Yle’s morning and Blood, sweat and luxuryin programs.
