An A man has died and two women have been evacuated. to the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA) affected by an fire declared in a residential center in La Barganiza, in Siero (Asturias). According to data provided by the Emergency Medical Care Service (SAMU), both women were transferred due to smoke inhalation. A man who did not require medical transfer was also treated at the site.
The Emergency Coordination Center received the notice at 6:57 a.m. The call indicated that there was a fire and they did not know what was burning. The Chief Supervisor and the Chief of Firefighters of the Central Zone were immediately mobilized, along with 9 Firefighters from the Emergency Service of the Principality of Asturias (SEPA) from the parks of La Morgal and San Martín del Rey Aurelio, who moved with two escalators, the mother vehicle and two light urban fire engines. The Asturias Fire Department Chief also went to the scene.

Once on the scene, firefighters located the fire confined to a room. The area was affected by heavy smoke. After accessing the room, the firefighters found an occupant, who was removed from the room, and proceeded to put out the flames. The firefighters began the resuscitation of the affected, until the arrival of the medical team. Finally, nothing could be done to save the life of the affected person, who died.
Firefighters declared the fire under control at 7:39 a.m. The firefighters carried out cooling, ventilation and debris removal tasks. The troops terminated the intervention upon arrival at the base, at 9:59 am.
