AFC does good business in second division with minimal victory

AFC has climbed to third place in the second division. Tonight the team from Amsterdam was 1-0 too strong for De Treffers. After two defeats in a row, it is a welcome victory for Uli Landvreugd’s team.

Thomas Verhaar became the match winner at Sportpark Goed Enough. He scored the only goal of the evening in the 23rd minute. As number three, AFC has only one point more than Jong Sparta, which is eighth.

Royal HFC surprisingly went down against low-flying IJsselmeervogels last night. In Spakenburg it ended in 1-0 by an own goal by Wessel Boer. The Haarlem team is still second with five points less than leader Katwijk.

Young FC Volendam lost big to Noordwijk. At halftime, the Volendam team was already 4-0 behind. In the second half, the damage was somewhat limited for the number ten in the ranking: 4-1. Tayrell Wouter scored the goal.
