British Prime Minister: Civilian deaths Butja almost genocide

The massacre of civilians in Butha and elsewhere in Ukraine since the Russian invasion is not far from genocide, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says. According to observers, the estimate is remarkable, as the British government generally avoids using the term genocide. London believes that it is up to the judge to decide on such a qualification.

Johnson points to the discovery of numerous killed civilians in Butya after the Russian retreat, and to other consequences of the war ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin. “If you look at what is happening in Butya, and if you see the revelations about what Putin did in Ukraine, it seems to me nothing less than genocide,” the conservative leader told British television. Johnson announced more sanctions against the Moscow regime, as other countries have done.
