UMK’s chief producer commented on the unfortunate leak.
Rap artist Etta accidentally revealed the artists of the New Music Competition on social media before the official announcement broadcast.
UMK’s chief producer Anssi Autio from Yelta commented on the matter to Iltalehte at UMK’s press conference. According to him, Yle plans to investigate the case first.

There has been a lot of buzz around Eurovision for the past few years because of Israel’s participation in the song contest. Israel has received criticism for the war in Gaza.
The UN research group has stated in its report that Israel is guilty of genocide.
Demands have also been made towards Yle that Finland should withdraw from the competition.
However, Finland will compete in next spring’s Eurovision Song Contest. Autio confirms to Iltalehti that the UMK artists have signed a contract in which they undertake to represent Finland.
The final of the new music competition will be held on February 28. On Wednesday, it was reported that they are fighting for victory KikiChachi Hildén, Sinikka Monte, Etta, Linda Lampenius & Pete Parkkonen, Antti Paalanen and Komiat.
The winner will represent Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.
The last time Finland won a song contest was in 2006, when the monster band Lordi won in Athens with the song Hard Rock Hallelujah.
