Sami Haara and Aleksi Valavuori meet for the first time. Warner Bros. Discovery
Ring Prince– in the second episode of the program, the entrepreneur of the Central Ring Factory Sami Haaraher husband, a beauty clinic entrepreneur Charlotte Fellman and theirs Prince-his sons have adventures on the Spanish Sun Coast.
During the episode, Sami meets several well-known public figures on the Aurinkoranniko in the name of business. One of them is Aleksi Valavuori.
The two meet each other at the golf club. They talk not only about business but also about the deeper issues of life. The conversation quickly turns to failures and alcoholism.
Sami Haara says he is an alcoholic. He got sober in 2008 and was sober for six and a half years. Then the excursion happened.
– I thought that I’m not an alcoholic, I can take one. Then it took me another two and a half years. That’s when the company went into restructuring and so on, Haara tells Valavuori.
Now Haara has been without alcohol for years. He believes alcohol was an escape from something, but he doesn’t know what.
– My alcoholism shows itself in the way that I’m damn hard to work or I’m addicted to something else, he continues.

The last straw
Valavuori is also going through his own story with alcoholism. Valavuori has been sentenced in 2021 for two gross tax frauds and a gross accounting crime.
– Alcohol was the main reason why I messed up. Everything would have been fixable, those tax affairs and everything else. I knew that the drive to the wall was coming, I drank in that sadness, Valavuori times.
In the program, Valavuori also recalls the last night when he drank alcohol.
– I couldn’t sleep, I had a bottle of liquor next to me. I drank half of the bottle of liquor during the night. I woke up every hour when I couldn’t sleep, he begins.
– I called Tyks, took a taxi and went there right away. I said I want a break. He asked why, because I seem to be fine, Valavuori recalls.
The blood tests showed that Valavuori had 1.7 per thousand of alcohol in his blood. He says that his tolerance has increased so much that alcohol no longer affects his behavior.
Now Valavuori has been without alcohol for six and a half years.
– I terribly miss the feeling of a high, but I’ve come to terms with the fact that it won’t happen again. It’s a feeling I’ll never get again. I gave it my all, but you have to remember that the downsides are so shocking, Valavuori states in the episode.
– You have to go to the bottom to understand it, Haara concludes.
