The Netherlands is positive about a possible contribution to a NATO mission in the Arctic region around Greenland. According to Minister David van Weel (Foreign Affairs, VVD), the Netherlands can ‘in this way contribute to some relaxation in the relationship that we find so important, namely that between the United States and the European NATO allies’.
