It is the eighth time that the Langman Prize has been awarded. The prize is awarded every year to a person or organization that thinks, acts, manages and does business without boundaries. And therefore plays an important role in Northern opinion formation and/or economic development. Anyone can nominate candidates for the prize.
The Northern Netherlands Foundation is the initiator of the prize that owes its name to Harrie Langman. As Minister of Economic Affairs, he was of great importance for the Northern Netherlands.
