Meta calls on Australia to reverse ban on social media for under-16 year olds

US tech giant Meta today urged Australia to reverse its ban on social media for under-16 year olds. The parent company of Facebook and Instagram, among others, also reports that it has already blocked more than 544,000 profiles since the new legislation came into effect.
