In the Turkish Supercup final there is the prestigious duel between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. In the end, an ex-Bundesliga coach can celebrate, two German players miss out on the title.

Domenico Tedesco won the Turkish Super Cup with Fenerbahçe Istanbul. In the final against Galatasaray Istanbul, Mattéo Guendouzi scored in the 28th minute and Jayden Oosterwolde in the 48th minute. The game took place at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium and ended in a 2-0 win for Fenerbahçe.

Galatasaray started with Leroy Sané and İlkay Gündoğan, who came on as a second-half substitute. Tedesco, who also coached Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig and was Belgium’s national coach for two years, was initially criticized after his move.

However, in the past few months he has stabilized the team. The success in the Supercup marks an important step for the German-Italian, who was now able to celebrate his first title with Fenerbahçe.
