Guendouzi initiates victory

Former Bundesliga coach Domenico Tedesco celebrated his first title with Fenerbahçe. The 40-year-old was able to celebrate winning the Turkish Super Cup after winning 2-0 (1-0) in the final against champions Galatasaray. The goals for the Tedesco team in the Atatürk Olympic Stadium were scored by Mattéo Guendouzi (28th minute) and Jayden Oosterwolde (48th).
Ex-Bayern professional Leroy Sané was in the starting line-up at Galatasaray. Former national team captain Ilkay Gündogan came on as a substitute in the second half. The former Schalke, Leipzig and Belgium coach Tedesco took over Fenerbahce in September and has since achieved an average points average of 2.13 points from 23 games with the club. Across all competitions, he and his team only lost two games; in the Süper Lig table, Fener is in second place after 17 match days, three points behind Galatasaray.
