Roasted almonds taste delicious with broccolini. Mari Moilanen

Broccolini are great to serve because they go well with almost everything. Whether you have turkey, pork, game or fish on your table, this side dish goes well with them.

Broccolini can be replaced with broccoli, because the taste is the same. However, broccolini has a sweeter and milder taste than broccoli.

Both vegetables are best lightly cooked, so don’t overcook them. These green vegetables should have a crunchy chewy feel.

Almond broccolini

2 bags (à 250 g) of broccolini

1 bag (70 g) of almond flakes

50 g of butter

1 teaspoon of finger salt

ground black pepper

1. Boil broccolini in salted water for 3 minutes. Drain.

2. Toast the almond chips for color in a non-greased pan. Move aside to wait.

3. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the broccolini for a few minutes. Fold in half of the almond flakes.

4. Put the broccolini on a serving plate, season with salt and pepper. Garnish with the remaining slivered almonds.
