Werder Bremen’s search for a striker has apparently come to an end. As “Sky” reports, Jovan Milosevic from VfB Stuttgart is about to move to the green-whites. The 20-year-old center forward will be loaned out until the end of the season and will undergo a medical check shortly. Milosevic is also said to have agreed with Partizan Belgrade about continuing the engagement since January 2025, but there have not yet been any negotiations between the clubs.

In the summer of 2023, VfB paid 1.2 million euros to the Serbian first division club Vojvodina for the services of Milosevic, who was top scorer with five goals at the 2022 U17 European Championship. This was followed by two loans to FC St. Gallen and Partizan, where he was able to increase his market value from one million to 7 million euros in the 2025 calendar year. In the first half of the season he scored twelve goals in 17 games, making him the most accurate player in the Serbian league after Aleksandar Katai. He played six games for VfB.

Milosevic is said to have expressed his wish to change to VfB Stuttgart in December and apparently already agreed with Partizan. “Despite ongoing speculation about his future – including the possibility of a return to VfB Stuttgart, about which he has not made a clear statement – according to insiders, staying at Partizan is currently his clear wish,” said TM Serbia experts “Zvezda_98” and “grobar333” as part of the latest market value update in December. “Milosevic obviously wants to finish the season in Belgrade with real chances of winning the league title and the top scorer’s crown.” However, negotiations between the Serbs and VfB have not yet taken place, according to “Sky”.

In Bremen, the search for a new center forward has recently been in full swing, as Bayer loanee Victor Boniface will probably no longer play for the Hanseatic team due to a knee injury. The Nigerian came to the Weser on deadline day as a great hope, but remained without a goal in eleven games. The same applies to Werder’s other attacker Keke Topp. The report does not say whether Bremen will secure a purchase option for Milosevic, who is tied to VfB until 2027.
