Eurozone retail sales increased slightly in November.
Compared to the previous month, they rose by 0.2 percent, as the European statistics office Eurostat announced on Friday in Luxembourg. On average, economists had expected a slight increase of 0.1 percent.
Sales data for October has been revised upwards. Revenues rose by 0.3 percent month-on-month, after Eurostat had previously reported only stagnation.
Compared to the same month last year, retail sales rose by 2.3 percent in November. An increase of 1.6 percent was expected here.
