The new year immediately brings two North Holland get-togethers. For example, AZ – FC Volendam is scheduled for Saturday at 4:30 PM and a day later at 2:30 PM Telstar and Ajax will meet in Velsen-Zuid.
Telstar
Of the four clubs, only Telstar boarded a plane for a training camp outside the country’s borders. The PhD candidate has spent the past few days in southern Spain. The White Lions returned to Dutch soil on Tuesday evening.
“We left with only a 45-minute delay,” says the Telstar spokesperson. “Luckily this flight went ahead.”
“The training camp went very well. Perhaps not with the expected Spanish sun, because it rained and blew regularly. We therefore had to move to another training location, but that did not spoil the fun.”
Telstar was supposed to play two practice matches on Sunday, but that was canceled due to weather conditions. That worked a day later on Monday. The selection of coach Anthony Correia defeated Marbella FC 3-1.
