The fire burned out just after 1 a.m. last night. Several fire brigade vehicles, 3 tankers and 2 aerial platforms, were deployed. The fire produces a lot of smoke. The smoke detectors at the data center across the street went off, the photographer on site reported.
There are no houses in the vicinity of the industrial estate. As far as is known, the fire has not spread to other buildings. “We are still working hard to get the fire under control and prevent further spread. Vehicles will be added for support and control of adjacent buildings,” says press officer Maurice Dorsman, of the Kennemerland Safety Region (VRK).
The spokesperson expects that extinguishing the fire will take some time. Nothing can yet be said about the cause of the fire.
