The Finn did not get clarity on his situation in Wednesday’s short race.
A cross-country skier who has suffered from poor results recently Krista Pärmäkoski couldn’t draw a big conclusion from his performance on stage 3/6 of the Tour de Ski on Wednesday.
– It’s so different when you’re skiing flat and you don’t have to go to the side of oxygen intake, Pärmäkoski comments.
She was 19th in the five-kilometer wilderness mass start. A difference from the fastest woman, albeit one who skied in a different race to Jessie Diggins accumulated 24 seconds.
– As long as the gap to the top was less than four minutes on Thursday, Pärmäkoski gave a slightly tongue-in-cheek assessment of his goal in Thursday’s traditional-style 20-kilometer pursuit race.
Decent taste
Krista Pärmäkoski was nineteenth on stage 3/6 of the Tour. Jussi Saarinen
Iltalehti’s skiing expert Pirjo Muranen estimated earlier that the weak results are gnawing at his former teammate’s ears.
– I’m doing just fine so far. There are good conditions here. The sun is shining, Pärmoski commented.
– Of course, the results have not been what I want. But I know that the main goal of the season is yet to come, he added, referring to the Olympic Games in February.
Many skiers missed Wednesday’s special wild mass start, but the event left a decent taste for the athlete from Ikaalis.
– Reasonably cool things to do. Equipment could have broken and there could have been crashes. If the race was skied with a harder profile, the results were different.
