In the third round, Searle had beaten German number one Martin Schindler in quick succession. A day later he wins again confidently and is the first player to reach the quarter-finals.
Ryan Searle mastered his task in the round of 16 against his compatriot James Hurrell 4-0 extremely confidently. As with the clear 4-0 win against Schindler, Searle once again impressed with an excellent checkout rate. Hurrell was only able to win a total of four legs, Searle impressed not only with the odds on doubles but also with strong scoring (100.57 to 89.51).
Clayton or Harrysson in the quarterfinals
In the next round, the 38-year-old will face either Welsh favorite Jonny Clayton or Swede Andreas Harrysson. He had eliminated the German Ricardo Pietreczko in the previous round.
Josh Rock also made it to the round of 16 on Monday evening. The favored Englishman defeated his compatriot Callan Rydz 4-1, he now plays against the English outsider Justin Hood.
