The occupants of a van near Erica got the fright of their lives this Christmas afternoon when their car suddenly caught fire while driving.
Just before four something went wrong on the Verlengde Herendijk. The driver discovered smoke and fire near the dashboard and immediately pulled over his vehicle.
There were two people in the car, as far as we know they were not injured. The fire brigade was called and the fire was quickly brought under control. The van did sustain significant damage.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
