HIFK has strengthened its ranks for the Spengler Cup tournament starting on Boxing Day, the club says on their website.

The SCL Lions striker joins the team as new men by Joshua Fahrn and defender of HC Ambri-Piotta Rocco Pezzullo.

Loan agreements are valid for the duration of the tournament.

The 24-year-old Pezzulo has played five matches in the Swiss premier league this season without any power points. He has also played in Switzerland’s second highest league level for 18 matches.

The 23-year-old Fahrn has played 15 games this season without any power points.

It was previously reported that HIFK has also acquired by Eric Schneller and by Jason Akeson to their ranks for the tournament.

In addition to HIFK, the host team HC Davos, Fribourg-Gottéron, Sparta Praha, a team made up of university players from the USA and the Canadian national team will play in the tournament.

HIFK will play its first match on December 27.
