Head coach Lauri Mikkola will not change any players from the Finnish team after the training camp.

Finland beat the under-20 World Championship team on Christmas Eve. The team has a total of 25 players, i.e. 14 forwards, eight defenders and three goalkeepers.

– That is our manpower. No cuts will be made, and there will be no new players in the team, head coach Lauri Mikkola said to Iltalehti in Minneapolis.

The Young Lions team has avoided injuries and illnesses so far.

– There hasn’t been anything bigger, the head coach continues.

Finland completed a nine-day preparation period in the city of Duluth. The team played two practice games, they beat Germany (7–3) and lost to the United States (1–3) early on Christmas Eve, Finnish time.

– The game against Germany was good, it wasn’t that tough. In the USA game, the first and third sets were good. In the second set, the workload dropped a bit, we couldn’t attack. At this point, I have a very calm and appropriate feeling about the whole, head coach ynänsi.

The playing cities of the tournament are Minneapolis and St. Paul, which are located close to each other.

For Finland, the intense tournament starts on Boxing Day at 23:00 Finnish time with a match against Denmark.

TV5 will show the match.
