Rob Goossens stands up for Yvonne Coldeweijer at the desk of RTL Boulevard. He thinks that the fallen juice queen is not lying about John de Mol. “It does damage control!

It seems to be over for Yvonne Coldeweijer at Talpa. Johan Derksen revealed in Today Inside that John de Mol is completely done with her bumbling and that her program De Juice on Net5 will not continue. According to John, it is absolutely not true that he would have asked her personally, but that was just an idea from the Net5 top.

Not John himself

That is striking, because Yvonne herself has always claimed that John had approached her himself. “How do you come up with it? John de Mol himself just asked me to come and make something for one of his channels. I really just thought: are you sure?”, she said in front of the RTL Boulevard camera.

Nonsense, Tina Nijkamp also thinks. The TV authority is now telling the show section: “With big names it is always said: ‘I was brought in by John de Mol.’ Of course it doesn’t work that way. John de Mol, Joop van den Ende and Reinout Oerlemans naturally had a battery of people and they naturally called the stars.”

Who does Rob believe?

Daphne Bunskoek asks Rob Goossens in the studio who is lying: John or Yvonne. It is not mentioned that Rob maintains a friendly relationship with Yvonne. At least, that’s what she reported when her boyfriend was in the hospital: “Had such a beautiful bouquet from our friends Rob Goossens and Veranika. 🩷 This brightens up your whole day! ☀️”

It is therefore not surprising that TV expert Rob now sides with Yvonne. The presenter: “She has always said to us that she was asked by John de Mol. Now something else is being said by Johan Derksen. Who are you inclined to believe in this?”

Rob: “She has no reason to lie about it, of course!”

Damage control

According to Rob, John is lying. “We know Talpa a little bit. In fact, Johan also knows Talpa and he was not brought to that channel by some underdog. I assume that it went as she claims. At the same time, I can also imagine that John de Mol is now like: let’s get a little damage control doing.”

Damage control in what sense? “To make his role as small as possible. It suits him of course that perhaps the most influential person in the Dutch opinion world says: ‘No, that was not John de Mol!’”

A bit strange

The Juice flopped before the first broadcast and John is getting rid of it in this way, Rob wants to say. Colleague Luuk Ikink: “Yes, it is very striking that he suddenly starts speaking on behalf of John de Mol. That is a bit strange actually.”

Rob: “Yes, very special. I’m curious how the whole conversation went, because Johan said he went there to talk about a commercial deal and then he started talking about Yvonne Coldeweijer? And John de Mol was completely done with it, he says.”

But, Luuk concludes: “I think they really don’t need Yvonne anymore. It’s done, right there?”
