Michael Olise had to miss training during the week. The reason was a surgical procedure. It remains to be seen whether the Bayern star can play in the last game of the year.

Michael Olise had to take a break from training recently. After the 2-2 draw against Mainz, the FC Bayern Munich offensive player underwent minor eye surgery. That’s why the 24-year-old was missing from team training on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

As “Bild” reports, Olise at least completed another light running session on Thursday. However, it is still unclear whether he will be used in the last game of the year on Sunday (from 5.30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker) in Heidenheim.

It is said that Bayern do not want to take any risks with Olise. Also because another winger, Luis Díaz, is returning to the squad. The Colombian was unavailable against Mainz due to a yellow card suspension. In addition, shooting star Lennart Karl has recently impressed with strong performances – and has already scored six goals this season.

A loss by Olise would still be a setback for coach Vincent Kompany. With nine goals and 14 assists, the Frenchman is the team’s second best scorer after Harry Kane.
