AZ was still looking for a desired reinforcement on the flanks after the departure of Ruben van Bommel (PSV), Jayden Addai (Como) and Ernest Poku (Bayer Leverkusen). Isak Jensen and Weslley Patati were already recruited, but with the arrival of Oufkir all players have been replaced.
Profile of new winger
The profile for the desired winger has been clear for some time. Trainer Maarten Martens already outlined in the summer that AZ wanted a wing attacker who can play on the left and right. “My favorite position is right winger, but I can also play on the left,” Oufkir describes himself.
“I am an agile footballer with speed and a good dribble,” Oufkir continues. “I am also creative and goal-oriented. I want to play every match in this beautiful stadium, entertain the fans and make everyone around me proud.”
