Biathlon skier Tero Seppälä will not participate in Friday’s sprint race of the Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria.

Seppälä’s name does not appear on the start list of the competition. According to Yle’s information Seppälä has fallen ill. The absence of the sprint race also means missing Saturday’s pursuit.

At the season opener in Östersund, Sweden, Seppälä was 26th in the sprint race and fourth in the mixed relay.

Seppälä’s last season was successful. Cooperation in a mixed message Suvi Minkkinen went great with.
