The nominees for the Emma gala were announced today. The 2025 candidates were traditionally presented to the media representatives in advance at the announcement event for the Emma candidates.

Iltalehti journalist Niilo Helminen, who was present at the announcement of the Emma candidates, says that Erika Vikman had had to cancel his participation.

Vikman’s representative commented to Iltalehte that the artist had to cancel his participation due to scheduling reasons.

Vikman received nominations from two award categories. Vikman’s Eurovision song Ich komme nominated for song of the year. In addition, Vikman is nominated in the public vote for domestic artist of the year.

On Independence Day, Vikman was represented at Linna’s party. After shaking hands, he told Iltalehte about minor difficulties on the red carpet.

– I got to shake the hands of the presidential couple, but then I felt like my shoe would drop, like Cinderella’s. I thought that of course it would drop right at that moment, Vikman said in the Presidential Palace.

– But it doesn’t matter, it was a Cinderella moment. Luckily I got my shoe back though so no prince had to run after me with it. It would have been pretty fun too, he continues.

Vikman said that Alexander Stubb complimented his outfit during the handshake and welcomed Vikman to Linna’s party. After shaking hands, Vikman expressed that meeting the presidential couple was a captivating moment.

Vikman represented on Independence Day Anna Sarasojan in an evening dress designed by you. The same designer made Vikman’s black performance outfit for Eurovision.
