A supermarket was robbed by an armed man in Beverwijk this evening. The police are still looking for him and have sent a Burgernet report. People who see him are asked to call 911 and not to approach him themselves. “The person wanted money, but this did not work out,” said a police spokesperson.
This concerns the Dekamarkt on Westerlaan. Around 8:40 p.m., a report was received by the police that a robbery was being committed there. “The man went outside and probably fled on a bicycle.”
A report about his appearance was sent via Burgernet. This is a person with a bent-over posture, black rain suit and light blue eyes.
“Do not approach him yourself,” the police warn. No injuries were reported. The store also remained open. The police are investigating.
