What nonsense: Johnny de Mol is filthy rich, the son of a media billionaire, and yet he lends himself, à la Maxime Meiland, to some cheap Insta commercial for Hans Anders.

You would think that cashing in with an advertisement on Instagram would be the last thing Johnny de Mol needs. Not only does he have a lucrative contract with his father’s TV channel, but that same father is also a multi-billionaire. And yet he is now walking in one piece desperate to recommend cheap frames from Hans Anders.

Free glasses

In the video we see Johnny tripping over a Hans Anders billboard. The punchline? “I clearly need glasses!”

We then see the presenter choosing a frame, taking a seat for an eye test and hanging out in the store. In the end he walks away with, undoubtedly, free glasses.

‘I always have to pay!’

Johnny and an Insta commercial for Hans Anders: it’s a strange combination. Anyway, then you get free glasses. “I always have to pay at Hans Anders,” grumbles one of his followers.

Another follower, Gea, says she has had very bad experiences with the optician. “Hospitably received? Ammehoela, we came there for glasses for my husband and guess what? Refer him to HEMA!! Get some glasses there if you want to read. Crap!!”

Anyway, Johnny had a nice cash. Now he has a HelloFresh meal box on his counter and we officially have an overage influencer.
