Wierd Duk does not like the way in which Johan Derksen spoke out at the table at Today Inside about his divorce with Fidan Ekiz. “That was a strange comment.”
Telegraaf star Wierd Duk was married to Fidan Ekiz for years, but the two did not last together. According to Johan Derksen, this is due to his excessive use of X. “I have the strong impression that his marriage broke down as a result. I once read that she was very annoyed that he was on the phone all evening on the couch.”
‘A bit strange’
What does Wierd think about Johan saying this on television? “Yes, that was a bit of a strange comment from Johan. That is annoying,” he says in the Panorama.
He understands where it comes from. “Look, that story originally came from Peter Breedveld, that strange fool who once wrote it down on his weblog Frontaal Naakt. And then NRC and de Volkskrant simply take it over as fact. Johan had apparently read that too and said something about it. But that is of course nonsense.”
‘It’s bizarre!’
So Wierd and Fidan are not divorced because of his X addiction? “Of course something like that is not the reason for a divorce. If you look at it more seriously, it is actually bizarre. People write things about me that are completely made up.”
“My first marriage was to a Russian. Someone recently wrote that this would have gone wrong because of the war in Ukraine, or because of Putin. While I never talk about my Russian ex! I have very good contact with her, we are good friends. Politically speaking, nothing happened at all in that relationship. But such a figure on X just thinks of something.”
Own life
Things soon take on a life of their own, says Wierd. “For the same money, he thinks that I hit her. And then he adds in the same breath: ‘And the relationship with his wife Ekiz went wrong because of his Twitter addiction.’ Then I think: what kind of sick mind do you have?”
He continues: “You’re sitting at home behind your computer, you’re talking about someone you’ve never met, and you start thinking strategically: how can I hurt them? Because that’s the idea.”
To bed
It’s terrible what people do to him, Wierd concludes. “They involve my Russian ex-wife, they involve Fidan Ekiz. How sick are you?”
“And this is no exception, right? There is a whole group of people in the Netherlands who work on me every day. They wake up with it and go to bed with it. That’s scary.”
