Gant has appointed Fredrik Malm as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the US sportswear brand announced on Friday. Malm will take up the position effective December 1, 2025, succeeding Patrik Söderström, who has led the brand, which is part of the Swiss fashion group MF Brands Group, for the past six years.

“It is an honor to take on this role at such a pivotal moment for the company. Gant’s unique heritage and commitment to quality are at the heart of our brand. I look forward to further driving growth in markets and leading the company in its next phase of development as a global premium lifestyle brand,” commented Malm on the appointment on the career network LinkedIn.

Like his predecessor, Fredrik Malm comes from our own ranks. He has been working at Gant as Executive Vice President Commercial, Brand & Product since September 2024. Previously, he gained extensive experience in the international fashion and lifestyle industry, including as CEO at SNS, as President Europe & International at the US label Coach, as Senior Vice President Sales EMEA at the luxury brand Ralph Lauren and as Retail Director at the Danish shoe retailer Ecco.

Thierry Guibert, CEO of MF Brands Group, emphasized that Malm brings valuable leadership experience from global premium brands. He was convinced that Malm would support Gant in the next phase of development, particularly in upgrading the collections and accelerating expansion in stationary and digital retail.

At the same time, Guibert thanked Patrik Söderström for his commitment over the past ten years and acknowledged his central role in the transformation and further development of the brand.
