Duchess Meghan’s father Thomas Markle has been admitted to intensive care after emergency surgery, a British newspaper Daily Mail tells.
81-year-old Markle was taken to the hospital on Tuesday due to illness. Earlier today he underwent about three hours of surgery.
– The doctors said that his life was in immediate danger. Dad underwent emergency surgery, Markle’s son Thomas Jr. says according to the newspaper.
Doctors are said to be preparing for a new procedure to remove the blood clot.
– I hope Meghan shows my father compassion – he is literally fighting for his life, Thomas jr. says The Sun according to the magazine.
Markle has been in contact with Meghan for the last time before her wedding in 2018, The Sun reports.
