Hoogeveen has closed a drug house on Reinder Eikelboomstraat. According to the municipality, drugs were traded and traces of cannabis cultivation were found.
Mayor Martijn Breukelman therefore had the house closed for six weeks. The house can be recognized by a sign on the window that reads: ‘drug house closed’.
According to Breukelman, this is a conscious choice: “It is clear to everyone that there is no room in the municipality of Hoogeveen for this type of criminal activity and nuisance in the neighborhood.”
