Jana Wosnitza once worked for Sport1, where she accompanied the Darts World Cup for several years. Now she is returning to her roots for a few days.
Around two and a half years ago, sports presenter Jana Wosnitza moved from Sport1 to RTL. Now she will be back in front of the camera for her former broadcaster in December. The 32-year-old will moderate the Darts World Cup broadcast from December 15th to 19th, 2025.
She is returning to the format that she helped shape as a presenter in recent years. Until her departure in 2023, she was one of the channel’s most famous faces.
Sport1 will broadcast the Darts World Cup from December 11th, 2025. The final will take place on January 3rd, 2026. A special broadcast on December 10th will get you in the mood for the tournament.
During her time at Sport1, Wosnitza was responsible for, among other things, the one-two, fan talk, the 2nd Bundesliga and darts reporting. She completed her traineeship at the station in Ismaning between 2018 and 2020. At the Darts World Cup she replaces Katharina Kleinfeldt for five days, who will otherwise lead through the tournament.
“I’m really looking forward to returning to the Ally Pally and being able to accompany the World Cup again. The Darts World Cup has a unique, electrifying atmosphere that can hardly be put into words. Every evening is special, every moment can make history. I’m full of anticipation for the games, the emotions and all the unforgettable moments that the Darts World Cup 2026 will give us,” said Wosnitza.
In addition to Wosnitza and Kleinfeldt, former professional Max Hopp and Philip Brzezinski are working as experts in London. The team is completed by commentator Basti Schwele and Robert Marijanovic, another ex-professional who acts as co-commentator and analyst.
