ASML drags the Amsterdam stock exchange to a higher close
Another climber was Phillips which ended 0.9 percent higher. Also Arcelor Mittal was among the winners with a plus of 0.7 percent. It was less CVC Capital which lost 1.9 percent. INPost lost 1.7 percent, logistics real estate company WDP 1.6 percent.
On the Midcapwhich closed in the red with a minus of 0.6 percent, was the share Air France KLM all day favorite. After a buy recommendation, again from JP Morgan analysts, the price flew up and eventually closed 7.6 percent higher.
Most other European stock markets ended the first day of the December festive month lower. The mood is depressed by the sharp drop in the bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. There also seems to be one interest rate increase to arrive in Japan, the Bank of Japan hinted at this on Monday.
The Paris stock exchange managed to close with a small profit (+ 0.3 percent), despite the significant loss for the aircraft manufacturer Airbus (minus 5.6 percent). This is a response to the software problems with thousands of A320 aircraft that Airbus has built. A necessary update has now almost been completed, but investors fear that significant damage claims will follow.
