Lamparter is the first to go onto the trail
Johannes Lamparter won the PCR on Friday. The Austrian is 3.6 seconds ahead of his compatriot Thomas Rettenegger. Julian Schmid (+7.7 seconds) and Wendelin Thannheimer (+11.6) follow in third and fourth place.

Jumping canceled – PCR from Friday will be used
Due to the wind, the jury now meets and discusses. FIS Race Director Lasse Ottensen and the person in charge in the tower both see no chance of getting all of the athletes down safely. This means that the PCR will probably be used as a basis for the Gundersen competition.
10:40
Valtteri Holopainen (FIN)
The third Finn suffers the same fate as several jumpers before. He has to get off the beam again. Before Valtteri Holopainen is allowed off the beam, another jumper is sent down.
10:35
Gasper Brecl (SLO)
The first Slovenian is also quickly waved away. Gasper Brecl only jumps to 104.5 meters after a mistake after the jump. This puts him back in sixth place.
10:35
Atsushi Narita (JPN)
The second Japanese is already sitting on the beam, but the Asian also has to get down again first. He also gets green in the second attempt and sails to a strong 127 meters. With grades of 16.5, this is a narrow lead over Zhao.
10:32
Will Karhumaa (FIN)
The second Finn sits on top. Can the Scandinavian push his compatriot out of second place. But Wille Karhumaa is too late at the table and puts his skis in the snow at 108 meters. That’s fifth place for him.
10:32
Domenico Mariotti (ITA)
His teammate is also sitting upstairs. He also has to get off the beam again and has to hope for a second attempt. Domenico Mariotti also succeeded in his second attempt and got the green card. The Italian does better than his teammate and sails on 116 meters. That’s fourth place for him. This is a clear improvement for him compared to Friday.
10:30
Raffaele Buzzi (ITA)
Raffaele Buzzi has to get off the beam again. In the second attempt, the southern European succeeded and pulled his jump to 84.5 meters. That’s fourth place for the Italian.
10:27
Rostyslav Kirashchuk (UKR)
The first Ukrainian sits upstairs. Rostyslav Kirashchuk makes his first jump in the World Cup, but has to finish it at 84 meters and comes in fourth place ahead of Brubaker.
10:27
Carter Brubaker (USA)
The jury now presses and quickly lets the American down. Carter Brubaker has no chance at all and has to make an emergency landing at 83 meters. This means the North American is pushed through to fourth place.
10:26
Yoshito Watabe (JPN)
The first Japanese man now has to wait a long time at the top. There are winds of up to five to six meters per second at the ski jump. But he is allowed back on the bar and gets green. Yoshito Watabe doesn’t get quite as far as the other two combined athletes and ends up at 114.5 meters. He is slightly late and is third with 80.5 points.
10:22
Jiawen Zhao (CHN)
On Friday the Chinese jumped to sixth place after jumping. Jiawen Zhao goes far again today and flies to 126.5 meters. This is number one for the Asian.
10:22
Eemeli Kurttila (FIN)
The jury tries it. The first knight is sent out from hatch 17. The Finn flies at 125 meters and makes a much better jump than yesterday. Eemeli Kurttila sets the first best distance.
10:18
Very changeable on the hill
As on Thursday it is very windy in Ruka. The wind is very changeable. The forerunners are ready. The jury has not yet made a decision as to whether the jumping will take place or not.
10:10
Müller remains the only Swiss
As was the case last year, Pascal Müller is still the only Swiss in the World Cup. The 24-year-old injured his meniscus in the summer and has a good jump to get a few World Cup points at the end. Today he starts with number twelve.
10:05
Lamparter in the yellow jersey
Thanks to his victory in the compact format, Johannes Lamparter leads the overall World Cup standings and wears the yellow jersey. In addition, he is the last starter off the beam today with number 59. Also in the top ten are Franz Josef Rehrl (54) and Thomas Rettenegger (53). Thomas Rettenegger also wears the blue jersey as the best jumper. The team is completed by Martin Fritz (46), Stefan Rettenegger (45), junior world champion Paul Walcher (43), Florian Kolb (40) and Mario Seidl (21).

Another eight Germans were there
Like yesterday, eight German combined athletes are registered in the Gundersen competition. Simon Mach (start number 20) is the first to go off the beam among the DSV athletes. Richard Stenzel (24) follows four numbers later. Tristan Sommerfeldt (39), Wendelin Thannheimer (44), David Mach (48), Terence Weber (49) and Johannes Rydzek (50) are also there again. The team is led by overall World Cup runner-up Julian Schmid (58).
09:55
Good start for Lamparter and Schmid
Despite the injury-related absences of Vinzenz Geiger (three bony ligament tears on his right foot) and Manuel Faißt (torn Achilles tendon), the DSV team can be very happy with the start of the season. Julian Schmid took second place, his first podium place of the season. Johannes Rydzek (10th), Terence Weber (11th) and David Mach (12th) also made it into the top twelve, completing a solid team result. Things went even better for the Austrians. Johannes Lamparter won and immediately took over the yellow jersey. Franz-Josef Rehrl (6th) and Thomas Rettenegger (7th) also made it into the top eight. The Finns can also be satisfied with the start to the season. Ilkka Herola moved up to third place and Eero Hirvonen made it from 17th place to eighth place.
