The Florentine team beats Vallefoglia 3-0 at home, Vero Volley without problems in San Giovanni in Marignano. Kipp on a day of grace: Bergamo defeats Cuneo in the tie-break

Simone Corbetta and Rodolfo Palermo

November 23 – 9.37pm – MILAN

SAN GIOVANNI IN MARIGNANO-MILANO 0-3 (16-25, 18-25, 27-29)

Third away success of the season for Milan, which won 0-3 in Cervia against Omag San Giovanni. The first two sets were similar, with a slow start for the guests who accelerated in the central stages thanks to an attack that was too fluid and elusive. In the third fraction the Romagna team remained attacked with an excellent Piovesan, canceling 5 set points but having to surrender their advantages, crushed by the offensive percentages of their opponents, in particular MVP Lanier (19 points with 54% efficiency) and Egonu (18 and 56%). For Numia they are now looking forward to their Champions League debut on Wednesday against Olympiacos.

St. John: Piovesan 14 points, Muri team 5, Ace team 3 (Piovesan 3).

Milan: Lanier 19 points, Muri team 4, Ace team 4.

BUSTO-PERUGIA 3-1 (25-21, 25-15, 18-25, 25-9)

Nice success for Busto in the home match against Perugia. In the first two sets the butterflies, led by Parra, always manage to break away in the central phase. In the third half, however, the effectiveness of the home side collapsed vertically and with Eurotek at negative efficiency in attack, the Black Angels found points from Williams and Gardini to reopen the match. Busto, however, responds by dominating the fourth set from the start with an excellent Van Avermaet (MVP, 15 points and 3 blocks at the end) and takes the lead. Umbria too ineffective in attack despite Gardini’s 19.

Bust: Parra 16 points, Muri team 9, Ace team 5.

Perugia: Gardini 19 points, Muri team 7, Ace team 2.

BERGAMO-CUNEO 3-2 (26-24, 25-22, 25-27, 19-24, 15-11)

Fundamental victory for Bergamo, which beat Cuneo in the tiebreak and made a double leap in the rankings, overtaking Monviso and Perugia. A balanced match for a long time, with the hosts incisive at the end of the first two sets. Not so in the third, when the Orobic team wasted 2 match points, and the Piedmontese team, who improved their serve (with Marring from the bench) and in attack with Allaoui for Signorile, reopened the match. Bergamo shuts down, Honda breaks away in the fourth set, taking the match to a tiebreak. Parisi’s girls relive the nightmare of the match against Perugia, they tremble when ahead 8-5 they are overtaken by the cats, but this time they find themselves in the final with Kipp as protagonist and MVP, taking the success.

Bergamo: Kipp 28 points, Muri team 5, Ace team 2.

Wedge: Pucelj 22 points, Muri team 7, Ace team 10 (Marring 4).

Scandicci-Vallefoglia 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-16)

At the Pala Big Mat the battleship Savino del Bene sinks the Megabox with a clear and peremptory 3-0 in one hour and eleven minutes. Gaspari’s girls were perfect (6 errors) who took full advantage of the errors of the guest sextet, who committed 20 of them. Both the attack phase (56%) and the reception phase (65%) of the gigliate were excellent. Linda Nwakalor was flawless, putting down 7 out of 10 attacks and adding 4 blocks (Mvp). Very good Kate Antropova, once again top scorer with 17 points (52%). A match to forget for Vallefoglia, with Bici clearly subpar and with few playable balls for Omoruyi. The ranking smiles on Savino del Bene Scandicci who with this victory remains firmly second at 31, while for Megabox, after the last victory, the points remain 13 which places them in eighth place.

Scandicci: Antropova 17 points, team blocks 9 (4 Nwakalor), team aces 7 (4 Weitzel)

Vallefoglia: Omoruyi 10 points, team blocks 0, team ace 1.

Chieri-Pinerolo 3-1 (24-26, 25-19, 25-17, 25-19)

At Palafenera, the hosts prevailed against Monviso in the Piedmontese derby. Negro’s girls faced the match with greater cynism and greater precision at the net. The visitors, with the exception of the first set won on advantage, did not put up the necessary resistance to hinder a team better equipped and built to compete on the highest level stages. We see Degradi again, trying to regain confidence on the pitch and get into the rhythm of the game. The usual Nemeth did well, MVP and top scorer of the match with 27 points on the scoresheet, an authentic offensive guarantee, and Kunzler who undermined the Pinerolo defense 19 times. D’odorico did well for Moviso, both in the offensive and receiving phases. Chieri therefore goes to fourth place with 23 points, while Monviso, with this third consecutive defeat, remains third from last at 10 points.

Chieri: Nemeth 27 points, team blocks 12 (4 Nemeth), team aces 2

Pinerolo: D’Odorico 15 points, team blocks 5, team aces 3
