FC Bayern and VfL Wolfsburg are not showing any weaknesses in the women’s Bundesliga. Both long-term rivals are celebrating a victory before the international break.

The FC Bayern Munich footballers remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga. The champions and leaders won 5-1 (1-1) at TSG Hoffenheim on the eleventh matchday. Pursuers VfL Wolfsburg continued their winning ways on foreign pitches even without their two injured top scorers Alexandra Popp and Lineth Beerensteyn and won 3-1 (2-0) at RB Leipzig.

The Munich team fell behind against TSG, who had replaced coach Theororos Dedes with interim coach Thomas Johrden during the week, thanks to a penalty goal from Valesca Ampoorter (10th minute). European champion Georgia Stanway (30th). However, Alara Şehitler (49th), Momoto Tanikawa (56th and 74th) and Arianna Caruso (80th) scored for the superior guests.

The Bayern women had to do without national striker Lea Schüller, who also withdrew from the DFB selection for the two Nations League finals against Spain for personal reasons. The Hoffenheim team, who were strong in the first half, played outnumbered for a long time, as Lisann Kaut had seen yellow-red shortly before the substitution. In the table, Munich is still six points ahead of Wolfsburg.

Cora Zicai (14th), Kessya Bussy (27th) and Svenja Huth (84th) scored the goals for VfL in Leipzig when Delice Boboy (42nd) conceded a goal. It was the fifth win in the sixth away game of the season.
