The German women’s national team wants to secure the title in the Nations League against Spain. A Bayern player cannot help with this.
Bitter news for the German women’s national team shortly before the final games in the Nations League: Striker Lea Schüller will not be available for the team in both duels with Spain. The DFB announced this on Sunday.
The association cited “family reasons” as the reason for Schüller’s absence. The DFB did not publish exact details. National coach Christian Wück is now covering the loss of the FC Bayern player with one of Schüller’s club colleagues. Linda Dallmann was re-nominated.
Germany will welcome the Spaniards next Friday in Kaiserslautern (from 8:30 p.m., live on the t-online ticker). The second leg with the world champions will take place on December 2nd in Madrid. The last time the two teams met was in the European Championship semi-finals in the summer. At that time, the German selection lost 0-1 after extra time.
