Students from the RHIZO college, four local primary schools and residents of Bekaertstraat gathered this afternoon to officially inaugurate the work of art “The Path”. The 117 square meter mural is the tenth realization of the #EuropeStreetArt campaign and the first in West Flanders.
The painting shows a central figure looking intently at his smartphone, while remaining alert to the dangers of the internet. Symbols of hackers, viruses and the dark web appear around him, but also references to digital protection, such as a watchdog and the EU stars as a beacon of safety.
