Last week, Lidian Boelens, Elly Smit, Aaldert Oosterhuis and Robbert Oosting entered the province to collect votes from companies, institutions, schools and village halls. Today the ballot box is on the market in Emmen. Editor-in-chief Martin van der Veen speaks of a successful campaign: “We are slightly ahead of last year in terms of the number of votes, but the ballot box is far from full. The more votes the better!”
Which songs will do well this year remains exciting. Van der Veen keeps his cards close to his chest: “The only thing I can say about this is that the regional artists are doing well again, but that is of course no surprise.”
In the last week of the year, that list of 1000 songs is broadcast on Radio Drenthe. From December 24 to 31 we will play the most beautiful songs according to Drenthe.
On New Year’s Day around 5.55 pm we will play number 1. Van der Veen doesn’t care who that will be: “It would be great if Mooi Wark manages to finish at the top again. But Jannes, Hannah Mae or Daniël Lohues are also very welcome. We’ll see!”
