The accident happened around half past one on the Oudenaardseweg, right on the language border. A car went off the road and ended up against a concrete culvert. The driver died on the spot, the passenger in the car was seriously injured.
It is not clear how the accident could have happened, the police of the Du Val de l’Escaut zone are now investigating.
