Will there be a return bonus for returned cans and bottles? In recent years, the Dutch have lost hundreds of millions by not returning their deposits. This must change if it is up to the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate. They have a plan in place to increase the deposit on bottles and cans from next year, so that a can you return will increase by 15 cents. There is also a plan to give you a bonus if you return a bottle or can. Supermarkets do not think this is a good idea, as it would cause a decrease in sales of drinks because the price of a bottle would increase.
